Tomorrow, the Sun will rise, the trains will run, the cows will give milk, the farmers will harvest their crops, and millions of hard-working people will wake up and go to work, so they will produce the goods you need to survive and live happier, and the sun will set, and the night will cool the earth, so eight billion people get to rest, to get up and go to work again. With or without you!

Tomorrow, you will wake up. Relish your first cup of coffee, soaking in the world news of the day. You will leave home, to go to your enclave of work, to use your skills—the skills of accountancy, designing, nursing, researching, merchandising, brewing coffee, pizza-making, building, writing, painting, crafting, code writing—to create a product, a craft, a medicine, an experience, that is useful, that brings comfort, even delight to another human—one human at a time, to thousands of them. In the evening you will come home, nourish your body with good food, read a piece to enrich your mind, and go to bed, knowing that at your temple of “work is worship,” you made a contribution to others’ lives, that you have lived a purposeful and self-satisfying day, and you will sleep with a calm mind. The next day, you will wake up again, and live yet another day of your purposeful life!!

The World will run with or without you. But you will help the World run. You are an immensely useful, meaningful organism in the cosmos. You are a human. Equal to and contributing to all other humans!!!
